Alexander Vinnik Released from the US and Heading to Moscow

Russian citizen Alexander Vinnik is on his way back to Russia after being released from the United States, according to his lawyer, Arkady Bukh. Vinnik is currently traveling from Turkey and is expected to arrive at Moscow's airport in the coming hours.

### Details of Vinnik's Transfer

Speaking to RT, Bukh stated: *"We have received updated information on the whereabouts and status of our client, Mr. Vinnik. He has arrived in Turkey by air and has been transferred onto another flight to Russia. He is expected to land in Moscow very soon."*

In addition, Bukh confirmed that a recent hearing related to Vinnik's case took place in a US federal court. However, he noted that the proceedings were classified, and he is not authorized to comment on the content or outcome of the session.

### US and French Legal Actions Against Vinnik

The White House has acknowledged Vinnik's release and transfer to Russia. White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt stated: *"As you know, we have confirmed that Alexander Vinnik will soon return to his homeland. He has not committed any violent crimes, but he lost $100 million from the proceeds of his illegal activities."*

Vinnik was previously convicted in France for money laundering and sentenced to five years in prison. After serving time, he was extradited to the United States, where he awaited further legal proceedings.

### Implications of Vinnik's Return

Vinnik's case has been closely watched due to its connections to cryptocurrency-related crimes and allegations of laundering illicit funds. His return to Russia may raise questions about future legal actions and diplomatic relations between the US and Russia.
