"Bangladesh Invites Elon Musk to Launch Starlink Internet Service Within 90 Days"
The Bangladeshi government has extended an invitation to billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk to visit the country and oversee the launch of the Starlink internet service within 90 working days.
In an official letter dated February 19, Bangladesh's interim government head, Muhammad Yunus, outlined the potential benefits of introducing Starlink to the country, particularly for young entrepreneurs, rural communities, and underprivileged populations.
Yunus wrote, "Integrating Starlink connectivity into Bangladesh's infrastructure will have a transformative impact, especially for the ambitious youth of Bangladesh, rural women, the marginalized, and remote and underprivileged communities."
This initiative follows a lengthy phone discussion between Yunus and Musk on February 13, during which they explored potential collaboration opportunities.
Starlink, a satellite internet constellation developed by Musk's SpaceX, transmits internet signals from satellites orbiting the Earth to ground stations, which then distribute them as a Wi-Fi network.
The Bangladeshi government's invitation to Musk reflects the country's efforts to expand its digital infrastructure and promote economic growth.
