Afghanistan Flash Floods Claim 21 Lives in Western Province
At least 21 people from two families were killed in flash floods in Afghanistan's western province of Farah on Tuesday, according to a spokesperson for the Afghan Interior Ministry.

Abdul Mateen Qaneh, the spokesperson, stated that the victims included women and children, and five others were injured. The families were on a picnic in the village of Kojor in the Boshaktoh district when heavy rains and a severe hailstorm struck.
Heavy rainfall has been reported in most areas of Afghanistan since Monday. The Afghan Meteorological Department predicted scattered rain in 32 provinces, warning of poor weather conditions.
Last year's sudden floods in northern Afghanistan resulted in the deaths of 315 people and injured over 1,600.
