In a strong rebuttal to recent remarks by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Egyptian media personality and parliamentarian Mostafa Bakry has firmly rejected any attempts to involve Saudi Arabia in Israel’s political agenda. Bakry, known for his outspoken views on regional affairs, declared that the kingdom is a "red line" and that any attempts to pressure or manipulate its stance are entirely unacceptable.  

## **Netanyahu’s Controversial Statement**  

During an interview with an Israeli news channel in Washington, Netanyahu suggested that Saudi Arabia could host a future Palestinian state, citing the kingdom’s vast land area. This statement sparked immediate backlash from the Arab world, particularly from Egypt and Saudi Arabia, as it was seen as an outright violation of Saudi sovereignty.

Bakry, in a post on social media platform X, denounced Netanyahu’s statement, emphasizing that "Saudi Arabia is a red line" and that Israel’s plans will not succeed. He also highlighted that Saudi Arabia possesses significant political and economic leverage, warning against any attempts to undermine the kingdom’s position.  

Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an official statement condemning Netanyahu’s remarks, calling them "irresponsible and unacceptable." The statement stressed that these comments represent a direct attack on Saudi sovereignty and a blatant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter. Egypt reaffirmed its unwavering support for Saudi Arabia and its security, stating that any threat to the kingdom is also a threat to Egypt and the wider Arab world.

The Arab Parliament also condemned Netanyahu’s comments, warning that such statements could escalate tensions in the region. It reiterated that Saudi Arabia's security is integral to the stability of the Arab world and that any infringement on its sovereignty is unacceptable.  

Many political analysts see Netanyahu’s remarks as an attempt to divert attention from internal Israeli challenges and to pressure Saudi Arabia amid ongoing discussions about normalization between Israel and the kingdom. However, Saudi officials have consistently maintained that any normalization would require a Palestinian state based on the pre-1967 borders.
