Hamas Calls for Immediate Release of Prisoners, Demands Guarantees to Stop Israeli Violations

Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qasem confirmed that Israel continues to violate the ceasefire agreement by delaying the release of the seventh batch of Palestinian prisoners. Qasem noted that Hamas is in contact with mediators regarding these violations, which are supported by the US, and believes that this hinders efforts to stabilize the situation.

Qasem emphasized that any discussion of extending the first phase of the ceasefire agreement is contingent upon the immediate release of the prisoners. He stressed that this condition must be met before any negotiations on the second phase can take place. Qasem also demanded that international mediators, including the US, provide serious guarantees to comply with the agreement and prevent future violations.
