The Israeli jets were seen flying low over the funeral procession, in what Katz described as a "celebration" of Nasrallah's demise. Sa'ar stated that Lebanon must choose between continued Iranian occupation via Hezbollah or liberation from Iran and Hezbollah, and freedom for Lebanon. The funeral procession for Nasrallah and his successor, Hashem Safieddine, was attended by a large crowd in Beirut on Sunday.
