Tate Brothers, Accused of Human Trafficking in Romania, Arrive in the United States

Andrew and Tristan Tate, the social media influencers accused of human trafficking in Romania, arrived in the United States on Thursday after American authorities lifted a travel ban against them.
The Tate brothers, who hold both American and British citizenship, were arrested in late 2022 and formally charged last year with being part of a criminal organization that lured women to Romania, where they were sexually exploited. Andrew Tate was also charged with rape. The brothers deny these allegations.
According to their spokesperson, Matia Petrescu, the Tate brothers arrived in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, around midday. A Romanian court ruled in December that the case could not go to trial due to several legal and procedural errors committed by prosecutors. However, the case remains open, and another investigation is ongoing against the brothers in Romania.
Romania's Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) stated in a Thursday press release that prosecutors had agreed to a request to change the travel restrictions for the Tate brothers, but did not specify who had made the request.
