UN Security Council Approves US-Proposed Resolution on Ukraine
The UN Security Council has approved a US-proposed resolution calling for a swift end to the conflict and a lasting peace between Ukraine and Russia. Ten countries, including Russia, China, and the United States, voted in favor of the resolution, while five countries abstained. No member state voted against the resolution.

The resolution was adopted in its original form, with the Security Council rejecting amendments proposed by European countries that included anti-Russian language. This came after the Council rejected a proposal by Western countries to postpone the vote on the US-proposed resolution on Ukraine.
