$35 Billion Candy in Kiev's Square
Russian Security Council Deputy Secretary Alexei Shevstov confirmed that the US Agency for International Development (USAID) spent at least $5 billion to support the "Maidan" movements in Kiev, with the possibility of the total amount reaching $35 billion.
Shevstov explained in an interview with the newspaper "Izvestia" that "if we conduct a thorough search, we will find that at least $5 billion was allocated through USAID to organize the movements in the square".
He also pointed out that the Ukrainian authorities received nearly $35 billion during the period of the Russian special military operation, according to the official report issued by USAID.
It is worth noting that former US Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland confirmed in 2014 that the United States invested $5 billion to support "democracy" in Ukraine since the collapse of the Soviet Union.
