Gaddafi's Lawyer Denies Release Reports
Haniabal Gaddafi's lawyer has denied reports that his client has been released from prison, despite an announcement by the Libyan Ministry of Justice. The lawyer stated that "the news of Haniabal Gaddafi's release is inaccurate" and that he is "in constant contact with Gaddafi, and there has been no change in his legal status since 2017".
The lawyer also mentioned that "the Libyan authorities are in contact with their Lebanese counterparts regarding Haniabal Gaddafi's release" and that "the Libyan Minister of Justice recently made contact with the Lebanese Minister of Justice, and they agreed to cooperate on the files of Imam Musa Sadr's disappearance and Gaddafi's arrest, and work on finding solutions to these cases".
It is worth noting that Haniabal Gaddafi was arrested in Syria in 2015 and then transferred to Lebanon in connection with the case of Imam Musa Sadr's disappearance, and he faces charges related to "concealing information" without any judicial rulings against him.
