US Trade Secretary: Trump Open to Compromise with Canada and Mexico

US Trade Secretary Howard Latnick announced that President Donald Trump is open to finding a compromise on trade tariffs with Canada and Mexico. Latnick stated in an interview with Fox Business on Tuesday, "Throughout the day, I've been on the phone with Canadians and Mexicans who are trying to show that they will work in a better way."

Latnick added, "I think he (President Trump) will find a solution with them," indicating that the conversation is not about suspending the tariffs. He continued, "I think he will offer them to work more and we will reach a compromise. We may announce it tomorrow. A compromise is a possible outcome."

This comes after the US administration announced the implementation of 25% tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico, starting from March 4, in addition to increasing tariffs on Chinese imports from 10% to 20%.
